Dogs are our teachers and our therapists. They live NOW, not in the past. They let go of the past. They expect good things to happen, and rejoice in every small good thing that comes their way. They are cautious as needed, but are curious and investigate. They have courage to defend their family, friends and home; and yet give us unbounded love, and show us kindness and tolerance as they look past our mistakes and faults and love us anyway. I am not sure of the person who said it first, but it is true. "My goal is to become the person my dog thinks I am".

I began competing in AKC events in obedience and conformation in 1967 as a child. I first competed in Schutzhund in 1978. I was a founding member of the San Diego Schutzhund Club. In this photo I won High Score in Trial, and High Score SchH 1, High Score SchH 2, AND High Score SchH3 with 3 generations of my breeding!!!
